A Sci-Fi themed, ideal city management, tycoon sim mobile game. NEONVEIL is the debut title from indie studio LUNUS Arc, launching on iOS and Android in late Fall 2025. Set in a glitched-out cyberpunk microcosm, you’ll purchase, build, and manipulate your way through the shimmering chaos of your very own city-state — NEONVEIL.

Project Role

I worked with the dev team to build a sound map that defined how the city should feel from both a player and system-level perspective. I created ambience beds, UI interactions, destruction sequences, and layered vehicle sounds — all optimized for mobile playback. Some assets were foley-based, others fully synthesized. All of it needed to feel cohesive and responsive to gameplay.

Sound Assets

Environmental & Ambience Design: Created weather and street-level ambience recorded with a Zoom H5. Designed to shift based on player perspective and camera zoom level. Sci-Fi Elements: Designed multi-speed flying car SFX (cruise and zoom), crash impacts, and synchronized explosions—each crafted for tonal contrast. Destruction Sequences: Developed layered sound effects for building collapses and explosive events. UI Sound Design: Produced clean, tech-inspired audio for menu transitions and button interactions, ensuring cohesion with the game’s futuristic aesthetic. A mix of field recording and synthesis techniques were used in the processes of creation. Some sounds were gathered from music libraries and heavily processed and layered for originality.
